I keep reading about installing a Dynojet Thunderslide kit with the Andrews 27 cam. My question is which Kit? There's a stage 1 or a stage 7??
Engine is currently "stock" with 33" fishtails and BCT baffles and an open SE air filter.
A bone-stock CV will out-torque a 42 Mik, and the Stage I T/Slide will run more torque than the un-touched CV.
The Mikuni will show more in the upper rpms.
We did back/back testing CV vs Mikuni years ago.
Both are very good carbs.

Check out the Yost kit which IMHO is a better upgrade. Stick with the CV as Scott has suggested; you could add a few $$ to the cost of a Mikuni and have a street port job done.
