Default Knocking Sound
I have a 2000 Electra glide. I am learning more and more about the Vtwin motors. This guy had checked my bike out and said that it sounded like it was coming from the primary. He was saying that he should hopefully just adjust somethin. If the problem is deeper in the motor then What would be the best route to go?

Could be something as simple as adjusting the primary chain, or the shoe needs replacement, if his diagnosis has, in fact. pinpointed the noise to that area.
Start there first.

Thanks that is wat he is looking at first from what he was telling me. Then he has told me that is thats not it for some reason then he is going to check the valves. My bike does have adjustable valves so he had said that could be the issue as well. He said lets hope that is. My question is if thats not it then what would be the best thing to go from there as far as likr rebuilding or what?

check the compensator,then check lifters
