Default Swapping headers question

I got a header from a hdf memeber with the cat taken out and want to swap it on my 11 limited. What is needed other then tools? Seals, clamps e.t.c? Pointers to make it easier? I do my own oil changes and minor things but have never done something like this. Thanks.

Simple job really.
Slotted screw drive or 5/16 socket to remove heat shield clamps.
7/16 allan
9/16,5/8 and 1/2 inch sockets
1/2 and 9/19 combo wrench
May need new cross over gasket may need need flange gaskets.
Remover right foot board
Remove heat shields.
DISCONNECT 02 senors under right side cover allow them to lay lose
Remove mount bracket bolt near O2 senor
Remove right muffler loosen cross over clamp
Remover exhaust flange bolts .
Take header off if you need to reuse them remove retainer from you headers.
Remove 02 Sensors carefully and install in new header.
You may need to loosen cross over and left muffler to line it all up.
Easy job really about an hour with coffee.
Then all done check for leaks and kiss your low end Torque good by.
hope this helps

Wow. Thanks for the excellent detailed response!
How do I know if I can reuse the gaskets? Or should I just order new ones to begin with? Thanks again.

I prefer to use news ones . Look them over if they look good you can use them
On the crossover. It may be best to leave the old one in. It is already spread a bit and your pipe will slide right in. If you put a new one in you will need to spread the pipe a bit to get it to slide in.
Be-careful with those 02 sensors you do not want to mess them up.
Unplug them cut any ties holding them feed them out so the come off with the pipe remove the on the floor put them back the same way.
This is the one I am talking about.

Ok so I finally was able to go out riding today and see that on a stand still idle the bike idles a little lower then it used to and every now and then it takes a little dip. Is this normal?
