Default V&H Slipons/stalling

I just installed V&H Straightshots HS slipons on my 2013 Deluxe. They sound great. I rode about 50 miles and the bike stalled on me 3 times downshifting to first at traffic lights. The RPM's drop quick, sometimes to 640, and it'll bounce back, other times it'll stall... I know the bikes run lean, and even leaner when engine breaking. Should the computer adjust for this over time, or should I start thinking about XIEDS, a Fuelpak, etc. I just want my bike to ound like Harley

From what I read, the comp should adjust. I'm about to put on V&H slip ons also. The instructions say "STOP. Fuel Pack needed." ???. While the Fuel Pack Instuctions say it's needed only for high performance air cleaner. more ???. Tis is now my favorite thread.

Went for a ride again this morning, stalled a couple more times. I watch the RPMs and throttle a little to keep it from stalling. I don't kow, I think the Straightshots are too free flowing, not enough back pressure and waaaay to lean.

Back pressure at idle is not really an issue. You might just have a dirty IAC and it's a coincidence that you just put on the pipes. Clean the IAC with some throttle body spray and see if it helps.

So I did a ton of research and decided on a V&H Fuelpak. I got lucky I found one new on craigslist like 80 miles away for a good price. Made the ride out, BNIB, fair price. Raced home and installed it. As soon as the install was done I fired up the bike and you could smell the difference. WAAAYYY richer. Rode another 50 miles and no stalling, not even close. I know the map is not perfect, but definite improvement. I emailed V&H my specs so hopefully I'll get a better recipe tomorrow.
