S&S motor electronic ignition coil is a 3 wire single fire. What kind of problem would cause one cylinder to fire but when I take plugs out I see both plugs sparking. But only one cylinder is getting hot the frt one? I replaced wire plug and ignition module. 170 bucks latter still problem. Stumped.

It could be a few different things.
The first thing you need to do is check compression on the rear.
If no compression then it could be anything from your rings to your pushrods to your tappet block being broken.. but first things first...check compression...
check with timing light, plugs in.
depending upon system, the ecu needs to see the compression stroke to determine firing. also on some systems on start up the ecu will fire both plugs and when the engine starts adjusts itself to proper firing order. this ensures a quicker start, especially if you have a manual foot.
What is this coil bolted to? - Year & model, fuel injected or carbureted, electronic or points ignition to understand is this single or dual fire ignition
What is the stroy behind when the problem started? - Everything was OK then it started missing or did you have a problem and replaced the coil and did not solve the original problem.
