Default 99' 80 EVO Overhall?

I currently have my bike at my buddies shop tore down for a complete make over. After doing a compression test and it passing with flying colors they took the jugz off to do a little cosmetic upgrade and to replace some old gaskets. Found the wristpins to be a little tight and one of the pistons didn't have the mobility that it should also the piston rings were real brittle. The cylinder walls don't appear to have a scoring but wont fully know until they come out of the soak. The cylinders and the pistons had a lot of carbon build up on them. Going to check everything after it is clean to spec but I am looking ahead and wouldn't mind a upgrade but money is a little tight and if the damage cant be undone I am looking to get in small terms a overhaul kit. I already know there will be new seals and gaskets all around but trying to find some kit that gets me everything I might need in one swoop. If you got any ideas I am open trying to stay with the 80 but open to bumping it up to the 88 but not really into anything bigger than that. Here are the specs to help you and me out.

Welcome to HDF from the UK.

There is very little scope to 'bump it up' much above what it is now. 80" stock engines are in fact around 83" and the cases won't take boring out, like the later TCs. The trick of the day was to stroke them and there were 89" kits available, which also had increased CR pistons.

You won't find any kits available, however any good tuning shop will be able to service your heads, bore your cylinders and supply all the parts you need for you to rebuild your engine. Call in the Tech Engine section here and look for HDF sponsors who can help, or look out your local indys.

Sorry to but in...but you got ***** of steel riding a 7 second bike. I bet that is a hell of a ride. I thought a 10 second ride was scary.
