oil pump
duke76, I just purchased the same list of parts from Zanotti's and somehow I got the oil pump for $93.42. I have no idea why, I just placed the order online and here it is.
I have a question, can you use the same bolts to attach the oil pump from the old cam plate to the new cam plate? I can't tell from the parts breakdown I have.

I just looked up the oil pump on Zanottis parts lookup page, looks like they must have dropped the price to 93, surprising for HD parts to get cheaper, I have heard that HD is putting together a kit to retrofit the older bikes to the new hydra tensioners maybe that explains it, yes you can use the same bolts I didnt know for sure so I just ordered them only 5 bucks. Will the "Baisley" oil pump spring available from Latus H-D fit in the late model cam plate? Is it an improvement with the new oil pump or is it needed?
I asked this same question a while back on HTT and the concensus was that with the new hi volume oil pump you are using in the conversion that it is not needed but i supposed you could still put it in if you wanted but not necessary Todd
FWIW, here's what is on the instructions from Latus for the Baisley spring-
"Most hydraulic chain tensioners will see a similar benefit in their ability to maintain pressure on the chains to reduce unloading on decel and cam nose over".
With that said, I think I'll just go with the late model oil pump and stock spring. With a stock 88" engine with Andrews 26N cams I think I'll be okay.
If they are 1/4 x 20 like I think they are if my memory serves me correctly they are torqued to 90-120 inch pounds, I put a drop of blue loctite on them and torqued them to 100 inch pounds Todd
