Not sure if anyone else experienced this, but as I've "matured," I've been less and less intrigued by the louder, more intrusive pipes. I had SE 16 gauge pipes on my prior Heritage (really sounded nice, but loud), then Samson's originally on my Ultra. I've migrated through SE II's, Rush 3.5's, and now Vance and Hines 4" Monster Rounds. FINALLY got the sound I've been looking for -- not too loud, still some volume, and nice and full on the low end. (Sounds like Goldilocks and the three pipes...!)
Anyway, interesting journey. BTW, the SE II's are for sale ($100) and the RUSH 3.5" with removable baffles are for sale ($150) -- plus shipping. I'm going to post these with appropriate pic's in the "for sale" section after July 10. Both sets of pipes are still in great condition, with the Rush baffles being re-wrapped about 10k miles ago, and these have a slight "gold" tone at the head part of the pipes -- likely polished out with some effort and chrome polish. Both sets fit '95-'07 touring bikes (mine is a '05 Ultra).
