Default SEII with out baffles

I like to know if I will hurt my bike if I run it with baffles in the slip on SEII and will it have enough back pressure or if I cut the baffles that came out of them right where the holes starts witch is a bout half way. The reason I ask it sound good this way and I read here where you can do it on a set of stock pipes removes the baffles and I know the stock pipes the end on them are neck down but at the same time if I cut my SEII baffles it will also will close the big hole up out the back if there is a problem running them with out the baffles.

Any info on this.

If you get rid of to much back pressure you'll loose alot of bottom end power. So if you want a slower bike cut the baffles. Now if you take the baffle out and drill some extra holes you might help things alittle but you would need to flow each muffler to get the back pressure the same so both cylinders as even as possable.

I got better performance from my SE-II exhaust when I drilled the holes in the baffle out a bit. I took the holes from 1/4" to 7/16". Worked like a charm and sounded better too. A cheap mod, if there ever was one. I have since moved on to Big City Thunder baffles. They are the bomb. Louder still, but the rumble is great.

The Big City Thunder baffles are a straight through design. They will flow better and sound better. The stock SE-II baffles are quite restrictive.
