Fuel System Problem
Looking to see if anyone has had the same problem as I am encountering. My 2004 RoadKing runs GREAT when the fuel tank is full.. but once it gets about 80 to 90 miles on the full tank it begins to cut-out, sputter and seems to be starving itself. Any help out there?

Take a look at the fuel line inside the tank. They rub on the tank inner surface and makes a hole in it. You can test fuel pressure and find it is low to pinpoint it. The replacement line is a bit shorter.
When it reraches 1/2 tank and starts to sputter, fill it up again and see if it runs OK then. If it does change the line in the tank.

Is this EFI or carb? It may be the filter in the tank at the petcock. I was having the same problem and that's what it was. Part of the problem was not using the reserve portion of the tank which allowed all that crap to build up in the bottom of the tank and plug the screens.
