Different muffler for Thunderheader?

Different muffler for Thunderheader?
I have the 2:1 TH, and wondering if I could run a different muffler, and still use the header. Looking for something with a deeper tone.
I have a Stock TC88 and it really isn't loud. I know everyone says it is, but not on my bike. My other bike, a 2000 Fatboy, has a Hooker Long drag pipe setup and it is definitely louder than my TH. The Fatboy is also stock TC88.
