Default The 38 Potato Head

Built from parts on hand, just fired it up last week and, after a few minor adjustments, will make a great little rider for around town and on the many fine back roads around home.
'38 G motor & 3 spd tranny (no R)
48-52 frame
Servi-car springer w/4.50x18 front wheel
5x16 rear wheel

Me like!!! You must have a lot of stuff on hand if you are building entire bikes from your stash.

So, how did you age the paint?????

Paint was a very simple process. A few coats of red primer, wet sanded and steel wooled, then a few coats of black primer, again wet sanded and steel wooled between each coat allowing the red to bleed through, then a couple coats of clear - all spray cans from NAPA Auto Parts. I wanted to keep this thing low budget.
