How the heck do you get the 'circlips' off so I can remove the piston pins and throw these 75 year old pistons away?
Note that these are the old style clips that don't have holes for a normal pair of circlip pliers

of course a tool exist to do just that - I have seen people just carve them out after heating them real good to red hot to take the spring out of them while hot
