Default I'm back again with another value opinion request.

For the usual suspects. You know who you are.
I am still looking for a flat head and like the looks of this one but not the price.
What do you guys think.
Thanks.

39 has a very odd ball transmission in that its 1- 2 - N - 3 - 4 this makes it way more value in a collector purchase

20 plus for a maybe running BT flatly is the price with out all its original pieces - a time gone by they were throw away no more

we see baskets for 20 today

For 20 grand, there aren't a lot of good pictures. Something's going on there.

2 things stand out the original gas tanks with the special gate is 7 thousand bucks dented and needing work

the entire front fork with the correct wheel is another 6 thousand bucks - and the two fenders are 1500 to 2500 in condition each

the visual is a tired worn out old machine

Thanks. His ad says trade considered so I contacted him and asked if he would be interested in mine as part of a deal. He got back to me and said he he wants something older. I Really can’t afford his asking and with my luck if I put mine up for sale, his would probably be gone by the time mine sold.

Set your sights on a flat side shovel FLH - they are around still reasonable but you will be into a rebuild no matter what the guy says especially the statement all been rebuilt

i recently bought a burnt 1973 FLH and it was pulled from the house fire with a back hoe - 18 months is the target date for test riding it

this one 1976 FLH came to me in chicken baskets sold it bought it back sold it again and rode it for 2 years

Hard to have an opinion when the condition of the motor and transmission are unknown.

If we assume it starts and goes down the road, with the correct motor, transmission and frame, not out of line.

Keep in mind you could pull the Panhead tins off and get some nice money for them, plus that front end is worth some cash. I agree in current condition I would prefer to be around $15k.

But it does have a good look, if you go into it thinking you are going to keep it that way, maybe you could do alright. Pre-war is always going to be top dollar.

Again, assuming it goes down the road, without that information we are just guessing.
