Default Oil pressure switch

Does anyone know what is the psi rating on the oil pressure switch?

When the engine is hot the oil switch will blink on and off or even stay on - if the spring is still in it its around 5 or 6 pounds

picture the switch up when asking they make a pile of different ones - but with out the spring its around 2 or 3 pounds before blinking

its not a car engine it only needs a bit of flow to survive - it was not designed for what we think is oil pressure

Well that might work if it has a spring which on the 45 it’s a diaphragm.
So wondering what is the pressure load number?

Again - a picture it might be for a Jeep as its 1/8 X 27 tapered pipe thread even today they use that thread but car switches are 25 pounds at idle before the light comes on - a 45 pump on a cold day hot at idle 3 or 4 pounds maybe

I’ve cut the new ones open, from Vtwin and other aftermarket’s and what I found is that they have diaphragms not springs.

You mean screen John, not spring.

If you take out the screen it lets more pressure to the switch. I've done it and it works.

Hold the phone, there’s no spring in or before for the psi switch , only diaphragm.
