Default I’m in the club!!!

After researching what I wanted and from advice from members here, I bought a 1941 WLD motor that needs restoring.

It’s the first step in my project and I’m excited. I just downloaded and printed the 178 page manual. I’m picking it up next weekend.

I’ll keep everyone posted on my progress, I’m sure I’ll have questions.

Will try and remember they have a specific engine book that is real good for a beginner to have - it covers it all way more then the factory repair manual

Congratulations, looks like you got a pretty complete engine, that's gotta be a leg up on your project.

I have an older, very thick and detailed book "How to Restore your Harley Davidson" that is supposedly highly regarded. I'd be happy to give it to you if you're interested, send a PM. It's probably close to 30 years old or more, but I never had need of it. I've owned my Sportster since new in 1990 and it's still in great condition, nothing to restore.

This book weights 4.3 pounds, so maybe you can pick up the shipping if interested.

John

I’m getting the shop cleaned up for the new engine. I think I need stuff on the walls.
