Just thinking here, I generally hit new posts when opening HDF. It's kind of annoying when half of the new posts are from the games forum. It would be nice if hitting "new posts" would not bring up these posts. Thanks for listening!
And personally, I wish Games weren't in the New Posts myself. Even I don't use the New Posts, I can see where it'd be irritating for those who do use it.
It is sometimes overwhelming with all the games forum posts, but not all the time. For instance I just looked at new posts and out of 25 there were only 3 from games forums. I've also seen mostly games forums on there too though.
Another thing is that one some forums, not sure about this one, posts on the games and new member forums do not count towards posts counts. I suppose this is mostly geared towards new members getting their post count up for permissions, but thought it was interesting to do it that way.
