Default Pop up box

How do I turn off this pop up box which pop up on its own. Damn annoying. Makes me want to go to another less annoying website.

what you see and what i see are different, it depends on the system, your internet provider , and mostly your browser and browser settings.

many browsers allow blocking pop ups, ads, java scripting and flash content.

i use chrome browser and have pretty good control of what i see- AND the site runs much faster.
ScriptBlock and Flash Block Plus are 2 popular extensions used with chrome

Firefox can also use extensions such as NoScript

I do miss out on some valuable content- for instance I don;t enjoy any of the embedded videos playing or music suddenly playing for me.

AdBlock Plus. Free and it works. Never seen a pop up on this site.

For me, on Google Chrome, it only pops up when I haven't logged in. Still annoying.

Ublock origin says 13 on this page. I was an Adblock plus user till a serious IT guy clued me to Ublock and I like how it shows what URL's it blocked. Makes it much easier to whitelist something if you want it.

If you're talking about the 'Ask a Question' popup in the bottom right corner of this forum you need to Sign In and it goes away.

All of these. And there's dozens of these thread in this section saying the same and giving the same advice. Plus a sticky at the top of the page.
