I haven’t had a problem since
I downloaded Norton Ad Blocker on my IPhone. It makes it a pain to look at some sites, but works great on HDF.

the problem is on my iPhone 8 Plus running iOS 11.2 (newest version)but it also occurred on my old 5c with 10.1. Irony of this is took three try’s to post this as the problem occurred twice.

Yes, I have also had this problem, only with this site, and on my IPhone. I can filter it out through DNS, if I am connected to wifi, but some still sneak through if I am using my data.

It’s not just this site. The pop up are showing up everywhere. Here is a link that addresses the reason this is showing up.

Basically, web sites are accepting ads with malicious JavaScript. The website programmers need to be more careful about the ads that are accepted.

I was just about to start a new thread on this, when I saw this one. Before the helpful mods chime in saying “install a pop up blocker” I’ll say “you should’nt need one if the site is managed correctly”. Amazon.com never has popups... it happens here from time to time, the mods poo poo it as if it’s our fault, yet suddenly it stops happening for a long while. Until it begins again.
So mods, please get your site managers to correct it, and not blame us for it.
Aside from annoying, eventually a virus or other ransomeware will slip in and you’ll have a lot of angry (former) supporters who migrate to better managed sites...
Not that anybody cares
