Why do I get an email for every post in a thread I am subscribed to.
Example:
Active thread gets 10 posts today.

I get 10 emails from that thread. There used to be an option to limit the number of emails but I sure can't find it.

HELP.

 

Go to your user control panel, then scroll down to settings & options on the left hand side panel,

then edit options.

Once in there scroll down to messaging and notifications,

then default subscription mode, click on no emails

 

Would that not cause me to not get any emails if the thread is modified.
Used to be that one email per day would be sent if the thread is modified in any way.

 

Well there are different options, daily email, weekly email. Perhaps you should go to the options section I provided in post # 2 and see what your settings are.

Daily email is what was given me emails for every post to a thread. I have set the option to "Weekly" and am going to see what happens. So far I have not seen any emails from the site since I changed it to "Weekly". "Instant" does not seem like a viable alternative.
