Exactly.

I'm guessing it's some sort of issue with the redirect VaginaLink code.

The link actually works fine in Microsoft Edge. The problem is the link doesn't work with Microsoft Edge when the link is embedded in the HDForums post.
When I click on the link in the below site (click on RESOURCES tab), it works fine.

https://www.jpcycles.com/product/7278/j-p-cycles-shock-absorbers

Hence, my first impression is that the issue lies in the HDForums code. Is that an incorrect assumption?

I don't do html, xml, etc., so I can't guess about that. I wonder if Edge has a setting that affects a pdf link in a post. And when you said it doesn't display "properly", what does it do?

@cficole The website displays the following message:
The link you clicked on is malformed. Contact the editor of the originating page.

This is the link displayed in the web browser:

"https://j-and-p-cycles.pxf.io/c/29332/1070785/11935?sharedid=1256825&subId1=156074.11935.0FOF147 35975477574226&u=https%3a%2f%2fimg.jpcycles.com%2f staticwebfiles%2finstructions%2fpdf%2f7000240.pdf"

HDforums.com rewrites the link.

HDforums.com rewrites the link.
When I copy that (without quotes) into a new tab and try to go there, I get the same message.

In Firefox, when I move the cursor to the link in the first post of this thread and "inspect element", it shows: https://img.jpcycles.com/staticwebfiles /instructions/pdf/7000240.pdf
(I added a space in the middle here so it would show all the letters)

Can Edge retrieve the pdf if you right-click on the link, and save or download?

No. When I try to right-click to save, I get a "monetize.htm" link. HDforums re-writes the links using rediect.viglink.com.
If I "Inspect" the link via the browser, it works fine.
As I mentioned previously, Edge browser works fine when I use the JP Cycles webpage and click on this link.

Sounds like Edge is the odd man out; it doesn't work and play well with forum links. I got nothing. Good luck.

Thanks. But I think the issue is that Edge doesn't play well with websites that use redirect.viglink.com to track referral/ad links.
