An (embarrassing) update - I've been using the helpful dark mode, but apparently that hides some text, sometimes. I found it after highlighting the "blank" area of a reply where I couldn't see the reply, just that "text" icon... I switched back to normal, and low and behold, the words magically appeared.
I've be using various forums for over 20 years, I should have known better!

Dark mode is new. I never use it. If someone posts while in dark mode, the text is hard too see.

When I tried the Dark Mode, I could not see a thing on my screen for a week.
