Is anyone open to revisiting this change to make it strictly for center-cooled (Gen2 M8) touring bikes? That was the whole intent on creating "2024+ Touring" forum, but that intent is not clear. So, people with bikes most similar to 2017-2023 touring bikes (Gen1 M8) end up posting questions about their 2024 UL/RGL/RKS in this forum, but it doesn't fit with the 2024 center-cooled (Gen2 M8) bikes and causes confusion in some cases.
how would that be clarified? do we need more community team members to help move stuff that doesn't belong out of the 2024+ forum?
The title “2024+ Touring models” doesn’t clarify the original intent.
The original intent was “2023.5 CVO and 2024+ Road Glide/Street Glide and any future models that incorporate the same design changes”.
HD has deemed these new touring models as “Center-Cooled Touring” models.
Various other sources call them “Gen 2 M8 Touring” models.
No additional resources are needed and no threads need moved. With the current forum title, there is nothing “wrong” with a few people posting pictures of or questions about their 2024 Limiteds, Ultras, or Road Kings, it is just simply irrelevant to a center-cooled touring models forum as those models do not contain ANY of the updates that the 2023.5/2024+ Center-Cooled touring models have (hence the original intent of separating the touring forum).
