crazy question
I have a 1992 Harley Fatboy. He always has been hard cranking over. Always thought it needed a new battery. I have a new battery in it. Hooked up a little tripple charger to keep charged. This past few week it has been in the teens. Can not get it to
start in the mornings. It acts like the battery is not cranking over fast enough. Here is the wierd thing. If i have the choke pulled all the way out, it cranks slow like it is dragging. If I have the choke pushed in it craks over much faster. I have it in neutral when I crank it over. Even with clutch ingaged, choke closed ( pulled out ) It cranks slow like battery is almost dead.
Told you it was a crazy quetion. Anyone have any ideas why the choke effects the drag on the motor turning over? My frien has been a Harley mechanic for 25 years and he says this is not possible. What the hell! This is for real.
thanks... bobby
