Actually this entire site is displayed using HTML. As are other web pages. HTML is used for **** websites also, but it doen't mean that including HTML will take a user/viewer anywhere.

I tried entering some HTML code and it didn't work, I don't know why it is set up that way but there may be a good reason.

Seems to work if you insert it as a picture.

Yes Jim we could not allow posting and just shut down the forums,,,,,Jim the old software is gone and it's never coming back,,, V-Bulletin has different controls etc. so it will never be 100% like the old software,, this one is a lot more user friendly as a total package than the old one was hands down.

You can edit both your post and your subject line,,, to edit the subject line you have to go to advanced mode,, it's that simple,,, no you cannot delete a post completely and we have a reason for that,, if you ever need one deleted such as a double post etc. feel free to PM a mod or admin and we'll take care of it.

We will never be a paid for membership site,,, I mod mostly in the OT and GC Terry nomally mods this area and I help out when I can,,, we all have jobs and you can always PM us if you have a question that just can't wait for a response anywhere on the forum,,, not only just here in the forums issues room.

What are you wanting to post as html code that you can't post here already,, such as sig pics, pics in posts etc,,, what Jim????? I'm confused on the issue of html posting being a problem for members here, enlighten me please,, waiting on a response thanks??

I would gladly pay for membership to have this forum less profit oriented, with less restrictions and more user friendly. Like the old one was. The little things here drive me nuts, like the lack of ability to edit your post's subject line, or delete your previous posts, 5 mouse clicks to subscribe to a thread with email notification (unless you want to automatically be subscribed to every thread you reply to), the inclusion of simple html code in a sig or post.

And more response, by mods, to questions in this forums.

I copied your link, then clicked on the landscape (insert picture) icon at the top of my message box.

apparently it is allowed. LOL

I wasn't sure it would work, tried it as an experiment.

I learned from it too! LOL

Yes, you can go to advanced mode and edit your title but the change doesn't show in the list of threads. For example, if I sell an item in the B&S forum and later want to edit my title to mark it "SOLD" it accepts the change, but when you look at the list of threads, the title does not show "SOLD". It only shows when you open the thread. I just tried it again.

My example is the simple link to the Weather Underground weather tag that many of us used to use, i.e. http://banners.wunderground.com/weat...East_Alton.gif

Not a big deal I just wondered why the limitations.
I do thank you for the help.

Jim
