Is it me or is the advertising just getting a little out of hand on HDF? It's beginning to interfere with my particular site functionality. I think that will ultimately cause me to move on and I do not want to do that at all. Love this place.
I mean I go to click on to reply to a post and will get a damn pop-up for levitra that I have to go out of my way to close because it overshadows the reply dialogue.
I know the folks who own HDF are in it to make money and that's great...
I'd rather pay a small yearly fee to stay here ad-free...
That's coming from your web browser and not the HDF. This has been verified with Internet Brands, the owner of this site and these ads are not site generated. Alot of people are having really good luck using Firefox as their web browser which has really good Ad Blocker. You might also try downloading a program called Ghostery which is specific to Firefox as well. There has already been some discussion about this down in the Forum Issues subsection. Again, I repeat, these are pop-ups and are not generated by the HDF!
They're not pop-ups persay. I do use FF but do not use the ad-blocker. I used to though. I may have to revisit that add-on.
Now, the ads seem to be an integral part of the pages so I doubt that FF is inserting them. I'm sure they have to be generated through the site construction or hosting service.
