Default " I E cannot load the website" ?

My desktop pc won't load HD Forums. Page comes up as normal and then the message box pops up. Ive tried dumping cookies and reloading IE 8 and also restoring to an earlier date. Have not installed any new programs and don't
know what else to do. Any ideas. Other pc's in the house are fine.

DG,
If you have other computers in the house that are running IE, I would
suggest you match internet settings from one of them to the one that
doesn't work. Go click start, click Control Panel, click on Internet Options,
go to the advanced tab, scroll down to Multimedia and put a check in
the same box's as your good PC. You might want to go to the trouble
to corroborate some of the others. Hope this helps.
.

The several computers I've used for this site with IE just don't work well.

IE sucks, get yourself some Chrome (Google).
See how that works on more than one level.

Steve,
What kind of problems are you experiancing?
Everyone had problems a week or two ago, but that has been cleared
up now. I'm on IE9 and it's just as fast as my Chrome or Firefox.

XP and IE8. All other forums and websites work perfectly.
Here the pages load very slowly.

XP and IE9 are not compatible.
I'd suggest Google Chrome.

This site will sometimes be slow do to a high volume of traffic, I guess
that's something we'll have to live with. with that said my XP/IE8 & IE9 I
have now both work comparable to other browsers, I prefer Firefox for
the useful ad-on's. If your experiencing trouble today, I would say you
have some sort of problem on your end.

Could be my issue but many others have the same problem. Issue started several months ago on my last computer. Same issue on this new one and also on my laptop which is Vista. Absolutely no issues on multiple other forums and websites.
