BTW, I am running the latest spyware, malware, firewall and AV. This thing still slipped through. I am not a computer novice.
I run Trend Micro myself. Never had any probs with open cloud. Who's are you using?

I'm running Vipre Premium that automatically updates numerous times per day. In addition I run Spybot with the latest updates.

AVG. I have caught stuff with AVG that gets past 5 or more other antivirus programs.

Well, there you go. Free spyware & anti-virus software is FAR from safe, obviously. However, if you don't mind dealing with the occasional worm/virus, tracking cookies, etc. and the possible harm they can do to your data & hard drive, then free is the way to go. Me... I'm not that ballsy. I use Norton Internet Security.

Just an FYI...

If your running Windows 7, you should be logged on under a "Limited" account rather than as an Admin, then NOTHING can get installed into your system without you knowing it, and having to enter an administrative password to enable it to install.

I have Norton on everything...plus adblock + and I wrapped my laptop in a giant condom.....
