Default file size on avatar

I have an avatar I'd like to use...the image size is within the requirements but the file size is too big (39 kb)...is there any way to reduce the file size? It is an avatar w/ motion and doesn't seem to be any more complicated graphic wise than some of the other member's avatars I've seen...just need to know how to make it work so that it will be accepted when I try to download it on my profile page...Thanks!

If you can get it down to around 100 X 100 it should work. If not, send me the picture and I'll fix it for you. You'll have to send it in a pm because my HDF email quit working today. You can also send it to my home email hdusa@mchsi.com.
