Default Why so much spam?
Geez, trying to do a search in the bagger forum and the Kohl's banner add is so big it covers the search window. Reading through threads and the Michelin tire ad pops up on every post. I understand free forums need to pay the bills but is all this really necessary?

Google and install Ghostery. Thats what one of the moderators recommended here and it works great.

Lets see if im close on my guess. A WEBSITE, that cost money to host and maintain, yet is free to join and use. HUH! I would imagine if everyone on here ponied up say 20.00 dollars to join, and say 10,00 a year to maintain membership I bet the site owners could do away just about all the advertising. Just my guess. OR, maybe just some people would complain no matter what.

I don't get many pop ups on my iPad. I guess there a built in pop up blocker.

change your browser to something with an ad blocker
Chrome+adblockplus works as others have said.
NO ads here...

Just the opposite on my IPAD. Can't go five minutes without a Cadillac or VW ad popping up.

Same thing on my iPhone, whenever I'm going to click on a thread, the cadillac ad pops up and I click on it instead. I guess that generates more income to Internet Brands
