How to......? Obtuse maybe but....?
How would a new member get permission to post in the Classified section?
Is that defined by length of membership? Different level of membership? Class of membership?

here, this should explain it..
The Free HDForums Classified Sections are provided to active HDF Members only. We are not interested in competing with Craig's List or Ebay. To be considered an "active" HDF Member you have to have been registered for at least 30 days and have a minimum of 5 posts. If you attempt to post in the Classified Sections prior to meeting the above criteria you will receive an error message telling you that you do not have posting privileges in those sections.

Again, my thanks. Did not realize you had a classified section until I started looking at all the features!
Then, of course, I couldn't find the rules concerning it!!!

Yeah, we were real sneaky about that. We stuck the rules right in the middle of the HD Forums Rules you were required to read and agree to when you joined. We also hid them at the very top of the Classified section.
