i have a pro street rubber mount swingarm frame and i can't get the swingarm off...i've removed the nuts and backed out the shaft(s) quite a ways, but now all they do is spin... i've ruined the shafts backing them this far and i'm at my wit's end ...can anyone help? THANX...
Hi Dale from the UK and welcome to HDF. I've got family in Phoenix, was there last year. As for your problem, I suspect the rear mount system is as for a stock Harley rubber mount frame. You can see an exploded diagram on-line here. The swingarm shaft should pull right out. However, to achieve that you need to support the trans, as the weight of the entire engine/trans unit is bearing down on it.

hi...... thanx for the advice...that was the problem, i had to support the trans and have it fairly straight so that the shaft wouldn't bind up...what i'm doing is setting up the frame
as a rigid, so it will be a rubber mounted rigid...i started with a kenny boyce rubber mounted swingarm, but i just didn't like it at all, same goes for the hydraulic clutch-you can't slip it at all...now that i've got the shaft out things should be moving right along...i've got an ultima 127 cu. in. all set up in the front of the frame,,,thanx again for the help.....dale
