Default Bad vibrartion in turns

I have a 00EGC with 31K miles, I noticed a vibration a few weeks ago and now is getting worse, yesterday I noticed my bike vibrates in turns, straight up and level its fine, it's more moticable in left hand leans/turns. I'm thinking I might have a axle bearing going or some thing. Any of you folks ever heard of or witnessed any thing like this???

Yes, it's pretty common in baggers. You should re-post this in the touring section, but it might be caused by your wheels becoming mis-aligned. Your bike has only two rubber engine mounts which don't keep the bike's frame and drivetrain aligned when stressed, as in a turn. Originally, this frame had three rubber mounts in a triangle layout, which kept the frame and drivetrain very securely aligned. There are various companies that make frame braces to cure this problem. One that comes to mind is the "Bagger Brace", and I think that might be one of the more inexpensive ones. Look through the touring section or the Chassis section and you'll see lots of info on this.
Of course, it could be something else entirely.

You probably have a bad Isolator or Clevebloc on your swingarm....

Unfortunately, mp has given you a small bit of misinformation....

You DO IN FACT have 3 rubber isolators... Front motor mount, and 2 cleveblocs (One on each side of the swingarm at the pivot bolt)....

They were notorious for failing... and you can do an upgrade to a more reliable system, either like the new style on the swingarms (Spherical bearings with a solid block insert, solid bronze plug, or the teflon/nylon inserts)....

The Isolators are located at the very outboard side of the swingarm, and are not prone to failure, but are prone to being overstressed due to a failed clevebloc...

mp and shovelhead bob - thanks for the responses, I put all new wheel bearings in, new fluid in the front forks and a new rear tire, issue is still there, after reading into the manual some today at work i'm going to do a full vehicle alignment. I noticed in turns if I pull the clutch in (no matter how fast the turn is) the bike is very smooth. I had a busted lower front motor mount last year and had the local stealer change it out for me, so I'm looking there first. I finally think I'm norrowing this thing down. I will re post with the findings, thanks again.

Once I had the back tire off I did check the torque on the swingarm hardware and it was good, but I didn't take it all apart to inspect.

Thanks for the asistance,, more to follow.

Update

Just got back from the big test drive - Good to go. I followed the book and did a complete vehicle alignment, adjusted the bottom and top engine links. It is SMOOTH. I've been fighting this issue since Oct last year, now I feel very comfortable rolling all summer. Again thanks for the input you hit the nail on the head. THANKS.
