Default Lyndall brakes

It's time for brakes front and rear on my '03 road king. I've heard good things about Lyndall brake pads. Which ones work the best for you ?
Bike is commuter, as well as two-up on my days off. Don't want anything that will eat rotors.
TIA,
Pop

I don't have a Road King but, I switched over to the Lyndall Z+ pads on my Sportster. They do have two other pad compounds, but from the description they are more aggressive. I mounted them up when I installed the polished rotors, and have seen no sign of them wanting to eat into the rotors. IMO they perform better than stock Harley pads. I also tried a set of EBC organic pads as I'm like you not wanting to eat up rotors, they performed well but they constantly coated the bike with black dust.

The Z+ pads have practically zero dust, which is an added bonus IMO. I'm going to stick with them.

Loved Lyndall Plus on my Sportster so much that I just replaced brand new HD pads on my 00FLSTC that the original owner had installed before my purchase. I can’t accurately or fairly judge braking performance but I can fairly compare the quiet braking with zero squeal, and the lack of any dust on the spokes and rim. Others have praised their longevity as well.
cant go wrong with Lyndall

The formula/compound used on the different Lyndall pads has been changed/improved over years...so if you haven't used a certain type in the last couple years it could be improved. Choice depends on how you ride and what your preferences are.

Z+ is definitely the easiest on rotor wear. Solid pad, good for most cruiser/touring riders.
Gold+ has more bite/power, I've had good luck with Gold+ working well from the first stop when installed against used rotors...nice pad.
Xtreme pad has HH rating, Last 2 sets I've used on dual front discs have been these. Marginal increase over Gold+, little more noise, little more rotor wear.

I personally like a lot of front brake and prefer that the rear not be prone to lock-up. I disregard my age and the fact that I'm not on a sport bike at times getting into back road grudges that may have a couple dozen brake scrubs that repeatedly shed 30-60mph. I pair Z+ on rear with either Gold+ or Xtreme front...common for guys to run Z+ rear and Gold+ front. If you want low rotor wear and don't need that extra bite on the front run Z+ on both ends. You can always try a more aggressive pad when your rotors are getting thin to see how you like them. HTH -Rick
