Fork Oil Disposal/Recycling Question
Can one mix in the same container both used engine oil and used fork oil for proper recycling and disposal? I have a 5 gallon (gas) container that I use to hold my used engine oil. When the container is full, I take it to the local auto store to dump into their 55 gallon drum of used oil. I know you're not supposed to mix brake fluid with the engine oil. What about fork oil? Can I also mix it in the same 5 gallon contain with my engine oil to take to the auto store to dump out?

All they tell me is no antifreeze. Judging from the folks I see in and out of my three part’s houses close by, there’s no telling what all ends up in those oil containers for recycling.

Who says you can't put brake fluid into waste oil? At work we put engine oil, hydraulic oil, ATF, brake fluid, gear oil, refrigerant oil, compressor oil, diesel fuel, etc. into our waste oil tank, been that way for decades. You're fine.
