Default 18" Spokes vs 16" Spokes

I have an 06 Streetglide with the standard wheels. I have heard of putting on 18" wheels with a lower profile tire to keep the same diameter as stock.
Has anyone done this, and if so what size tire did you use, and how did it work out?
I wanted to go to 18" Chrome Spoked wheels.

Thanks Tom

That looks sweet. I love spoke wire wheels. As far as the 18x3.5 upgrade wheel. I don't think this is a problem more and more people have been posting pictures and talking about doing this. I know some manufactures of wire wheels are custom building wheels for doing this at little to no extra charge.
