Just bought my 2008 SG in June - Now with the 2009 new frame and wider tire, there is much talk about installing a True-Track Stablizer or Rev-tech to stablize rear wobble and better curve handling.. Can i have feedback whom has it and does it make a differance. HD dealer chargin me 450 + install for a Tru-Track... Any comments would greatly help in understanding this wobble issue - is it a myth and just a money grab ???
There are several more options. TWR Missing Link, Ride Straight, Sta-Bo bushings, etc. Research all of your options and do a search on this forum. Tons of info on all of these devices here. Lots of "wobble" threads too.
I ran the Sta-Bo bushings and I like them. They took sime time to seat themselves however once they did, not a single complaint.
I now run the Concept Cycle Designs link and it works equally as well. Very simple install.
Choose your company wisely. I choose a company that I know has product liabilty insurance should their product fail. Some of the Ebay companies and do it yourselfers has me wondering "What if"?
The Rev-Tech appears to be identical to the True-Trac other than holes in the bottom plate. I presume they were added to facilitate air circulation for cooling purposes in that area. Other than that I can't see much difference. I also posed this question because I like that modification but can find no one who claims to have one installed.
