Default True Track Q's

Anyone here ever had one of these things installed? Did it help, and were there any known issues? Also, has anyone changed out the rear motor mounts on their Dresser / RK, to correct the rear steer swim of the rear tire in sweepers? Maybe a stiffer motor mount would work better, but the issues I had I think are linked to the rear mounts going from side to side, when it's in a lean. Least from what I can gather by doing some research. If there's anyone with anything on this issue, I'd like to hear about it. Talked to my servicing dealer now, seing if w can find or work a solution. Not that my bike is handling bad, but right after I got the rear changed out, it rode like a dream, then about 2 weks later, it began to wallow a little.

I looked at the true track, and want to know if it cures the issue. At least if the issue itself is identifed, then there's so,ething to work with. Not sure if I like the idea of putting the device on, since it doen't look to me like it would handle long term stresses. I could be wrong. TIA

Check your tire pressure.

I've got the True-Track on my 05 Ultra and yes it makes a difference. Especially in high speed tight corners 2up. I don't ride fast but it's more stable with the true-track then without at 100+ but again I seldom get there. Also notice improved response at low speed.

Just my thoughts! Even with the True-Track if the tire pressure is low there could be a rear end wobble cornering.

I've been riding a bagger of one sort or the other for about 75K miles now. I have read about what you guys are talking about, but have never experience it. I ride two up often, love taking the sweepers 15-20 mph above posted speed limit. Am I an accident waiting to happen? Just curious why I haven't ever felt this rear steer problem.

YEah, I check my tire pressure regularly now. How long have you had it on, and have there been any issues with it? Not sure if I like the way it's mounted. I also looked at the ride-str8 and it looked better, because of the way it attaches. But again, first hand experience is always better than an uneducated guess.

I guess the real reason I am looking at this is because I had the rear tire changed and the bike tracked great for about 2 weeks, then it got really squirrely, and I have been on the phone and down to the dealer to find out exactly what they did, and what could have happened. Don't mind dropping the coin to find out what exactly the issue is, and see if it can be corrected permanently. Bike rides good now, but not great, like it did when I first got it back. WIsh I could say for certain what they did to make it so good, and what could have happened. Been pumping them for info about what they do during the 15000, and for the tire change. I guess they are trying to work with me on it. May end up with new motor mounts, and an alignment, to see if we can duplicate it. Then maybe check it again, and see exactly what the cause is. I would rather use stock HD parts during that phase of it, if at all possible, to make a scientific determination of the real root cause of the issue. For all I know, it could be something at the rear axle, or the adjustment. If it is changing all on it's own, I'd like to find ot why. But know they at least did that when they changed the rubber. Inquiring minds want to know.

If it does in fact turn out to be an isue that the true track or something similar will correct, then at least we can be confident that the issue is resolved. I'd hate to think people are going down for an issue that HD is unaware of, but it seems to me that they can at least deliver the bike right, and it will stay that way for at least a while. When I troubleshot Aircraft, somtimes it was difficult at best to duplicate the issue on the ground. At least with this we have a starting point. Once we know exactly what is happening, it is possible that the Moco themselves can fix it once and for all. Prayers to the people who have suffered the pain of this. Let's git er done.
