Help!!!!!!! frontend alignment

Default Help!!!!!!! frontend alignment

i had to laydown my bike to miss a taxi (ride'in in istanbul is crazy) and slid into him when i picked up the bike i now see when the front wheel is straight the bars are not. the handle bars are bent but the front end is also out of align how do i adjust it i looked at my manual but it is not covered and livin in Turkey doesn't give me alot of service choices!! plus i would like to do this stuff myself ( with your help ofcourse) i ride a 2000 flstc with a stock frontend

There's nothing to be aligned, and nothing that can become out of alignment. However, there's lots of things that can be bent. Usually requires replacement.

You can loosten the pinch bolts on the tripple trees and give the handlebars a few shakes. Sometimes when you lay it down the fork tubes twist a little in the trees. If nothing is bent you will probably be able to align things by loostening those pinch bolts. Also, it's possibe that the risers got a little misaligned. Loosten the two riser bolts and realign the bars.

I've been down that road myself. I let a friend take a ride and when she hit the pavement at about 45 MPH, my fork tubes twisted in the trees. I thought they were bent, but I licked out.

İ was only doin about 10 so i don't really think anything is bent (rely'in on a little biker karma) we will see tomarrow

No, I didn't get much licken in that day. To many people in the emergency room. I "lucked out" with the bike, but the lady riding my bike didn't fare as well.
