Our mechanic is looking for a brace/bracket from the engine to the trans on his Shovelhead FXR. I found a Carlini Torque Arm for Evo's but no info for shovelheads. He said the way the mount should be the same between a shovelhead and early Evo FXR. Anyone know of another similar product ?
I also found that True-Track offers a 3rd stabilizer for the FXR but their website doesn't function very well so you can't get any info on the product other than a postage stamp size photo.
I'll also be listing a '83 FXRT in the classifieds next week.
Carlini torque arm not needed for a FXR. They were initially developed for Dynas, a/c the inner primary cracking. FXR's never had the problem. Yes they offered them for FXR's but unless you are pushing big HP I wouldn't bother.

Hey Rizzo, how about a tease and post a pic of the FXRT.
A few customers bikes came in and got priority so I haven't finished it yet.... here are a few teasers. This model has an in-head temp gauge, you don't see many of these.
I have a 81' FLT with one of those head temp senders on the rear head. Mine goes through the top fin directly below the rear rocker arm. I bet your guy being right next to the spark plug gives a better reading
Very cool bike,I always wanted an FXRT as a daily work commuter when I was riding my 2000 FLHTC daily.
I rode an early 1984 FXRS Lowglide daily for a decade and regretted selling it to pay off the big Electra.
Now I have a 1989 FXR Superglide project in the garage as a replacement for the one I sold 21 years ago and as a stablemate for my 2019 FLHT.
