Same here - never had a problem with air cooled, so why would I change to something that is more complicated with more parts to fail and more difficult to fix?

You do know for Harley to stay alive they are going to have to go to full water cooling.
Which doesn't bother me in the least.

The Limited has a few other upgrades over the Classic to sweeten the pot. Heated grips, trunk liner, 6.5 infotainment, luggage rack, a few other things I can't think of right now. Those plus the twin cooling...which works...makes it worth the xtra 2k +/- IMO.

For HD to remain competitive I think water cooling is a must, however I prefer the simplicity of air-cooled. People in hot climates will like the water cooled models better I suppose. My personal preference if I was buying new today would be air-cooled, but I might go water if the bike and the price was right.

I am not sure about the HD's, but I had a vulcan 20 yrs ago and it had antifreeze in it. It probably should have been flushed and change every so often. Never did nuttin to it and had no problems. My wife still swares that it was the smoothest bike we ever had, at least on the back.

Oh, it does freeze, (everything does), if you get it cold enough. Wouldn't want to be anywhere near anything THAT cold, though.

Having had both, I would take the liquid cooling. That said, I don't have a lot of miles on my 2014 yet. As long as it stays reliable, I'm a fan of it. Definitely runs much cooler than my 2012 did.

They had some issues when they first came out. Seems most problems have been resolved at this point.
