The junk guys are real common here. Just last month making a right at a light a pickup turned ahead of us we pulled out slow and about 50' in front of us the fridge he had on the back came off. We were far enough back for it not to be a problem. Parked the bikes on the side of the road and buddy and I drug the fridge to the shoulder, jumped back on the bikes and told him it may a good idea to tie it down this time. Musta just picked the thing up it was still cold and water was dripping out of it. Could have been a different story if we were running at 50 which is the speed of the road. I stay way behind or pass in situations like that and never run directly behind or beside a semi.
Yea, yesterday a pick up truck with a bunch o' sh*t in the back pulled in my lane in front of me on the highway (of course to only go slower than everyone else in the fast lane) . . . next thing I know an office chair comes flying off his truck heading right for me after bouncing once on the highway. Dodged it by inches.
A big side dumper full of sand blasted me the other day, he was oncoming to me, no way to avoid. A long time back, I got one-hopped on the kneecap buy a piece of gravel, danged near went down. Left a nasty bruise.
Horse and stock trailers are a special problem. An old myth says horses won't **** if the trailer is moving. HA! When one lets loose, the others do too! Pretty funky if you are behind and too close.
Man, I love this motorcyclin' world...
Around here you have to be wary of harvest trucks. 18 wheelers with crops piled high and often spilling over the sides. When they are oncoming, though, not much you can do. It's amazing how much a green bean hurts when it hits you in the forehead at a combined closing speed of 120 mph...
I could just duck behind the windshield, I suppose, but the Mrs wouldn't appreciate that too much...

A buddy and I were ridding up in British Colombia behind a pickup truck with 5 or 6 cars following. Our relaxing and peaceful ride was interrupted when going around a corner the lid to the coffin flew off the truck (no tailgate) and across the road. Nearly pissed me pants.
