I'm thinking all the folks that say the paint job is at fault do not own a power washer. Unless you really throttle it back even a small one will power wash the paint right off.

I'm not sure about paint, but I can tell you I took the chrome off of my trucks factory wheel with a 2500 PSI washer. My suggestion would be to go see your painter and ask him for advice. He may be able to repair the damage.

I'm still waiting to see this $4k paint job and the after effects of what the power washer did to it...

Sorry AAAC for the cheap shot about the "$1,000 for repairs". If this really happened to you, you must be completely miserable and I feel ashamed to have added to your misery.

Finally someone who knows what they're talking about. For the rest of you non-believers, feel free to bring your bike over and see what I can do to your paint job with a 3,000 psi washer. It won't be pretty.

If you use a pressure washer correctly then it shouldn't hurt your paint job. I think the OP either got too close for too long, washed it too soon, or just plain got a shitty paint job!
