Default Workin the weekend:(

I'm a small business owner, had to work all weekend. The riding season is winding down(Canada) and I'm pissed I didn't get a chance to ride. I''m sure I could have taken an afternoon off and finished up the project a day later, but my conscience got the best of me. Anyone else out there going through the same crap?

Making money is more important than spending it. I worked weekends and holidays for 30 years. Take a day off in the middle of the week.

Hey Upflying, I hear you. Only thing is my conscience doesn't like to take time off mid week.

At the end of the day your a successful man and business owner who did what had to be done. There is pride and pleasure in a job well done. Enjoy that feeling and ride next time

Similar but not quite. I worked 31 years at the mill working mostly 6-7 days a week and there were many occasions that I worked week after week without a single day off because I was supporting a family. I also had to rotate shifts every 30 days, not much fun rotating shifts. When I bought my bike in 05 I figured out a way to combine working and riding, I simply rode to work when ever possible.

I work a LOT of weekends, and my schedule changes constantly. No two days (or nights) are the same, and the hours vary constantly. I sometimes go 2 or even 3 weeks without seeing my OL (she travels for her job, too).

The worst is when I'm flying the line for 4 days, and the weather is beautiful the entire time. Get home, have 3 days off, and it storms the entire time.

I hear you From Behind. What's with Columbus??? Work all week, ready to ride and its the only city in the nation with a cloud/rain cover over it - seriously. Everyone else is clear. We are the Seattle of the midwest.

Another weekend worker here. I get 11 weekends a year off but usually try to sneak in another 1 or 2 per yr. w/ leave hrs. I actually prefer riding the Rockies mid week anyway; less traffic. What sucks about working weekends is you miss your families lives. Been doing it for 20 yrs. now so they're used to it...still sucks!
