Left Mobile, AL on Thursday after work and drove to Pratville, AL Got up early Friday and drove to the Barber Motorcycle Park to visit their vintage motorcycle swap meet.
Then on to Teleco Flats for the night and the Chereola Parkway and Fontana Dam on Saturday. Next stop was Gatlinburg for the MS State/Auburn game and camping in the Smoky Mountain National Park.
Sunday was drive to Piegon Forge and over to Chattanoga, then the Birmingham, AL and back to Mobile on Monday morning.
Over 1200 miles!! Half in rain...most heavy.
Some things I learned...
Good rain suit is requirement.
Slow down in bad conditions
Keep your distance
Make sure your stand is down properly(dont ask but nary a mark!)
Phone is best left at home or in bag you cannot get to easily
Great time even in the rain
Fall leaf changes are pretty neat
Not really any good pictures because of the rain but enough to prove I was there.
'14 Special did great in the rain and carried the load well. Think I will keep her.
