Not taking anyones side here, but I have witnessed the bad side of Doc too. I wouldn't let him tune my lawnmower.

Just keeping it real

This is the best post I've seen in a while. You may have earned my signature spot sir.

A bad day at Doc's is better than a good day at most other tuners.

I am not going to bash the guy as I have heard he does excellent work

In saying that I recently had some conversations with him regarding a build and quite frankly he seemed a little scattered brained regarding the choice of cam for the build. I chalked it up to being busy
Anyway at that same time made an appointment to get the work done but unforseen circumstances came that wouldn't allow me to make the appointment. I called Doc a week in advance to let him know I was not going to be able to keep the appointment.
I guess he really was scattered brained that day cause he had no recollection of the conversation or of the appointment I had scheduled with him

No big deal I guess but my appointment was going give him around $4500 in work and I was very surprised that he didn't care enough to obviously mark down on his calendar the scheduled appointment

It has me thinking as to whether or not I will get the work done by him now when I find the time. Probably will but not 100% as I was before

I am a personal friend of docs and there is a whole different side to this story, doc doesn't lie, and the truth is completely different. I can't stand people who come on here and spout one side in a pathetically biased way. This post was done in a malicious way. No one is perfect, but doc is a true master and probably the best tuner in the states. Be careful people what you believe.

Your statement leads one to believe that you were present during this conversation - or are your comments based on hearing Doc's side??
I'm in Colorado, never used nor will I probably ever use Doc's service so I have no skin in this game...but I will say, sometimes certain people gel well with certain others, while in some cases it's oil & water - they just don't mix well - I've had both experiences with some of the sponsors here on the forum....

You sir have absolutely no way of knowing the veracity of these discussions. Unless you claim that you standing at Doc's elbow listening in on the conversations when they occurred.

First you say that you are a "personal friend of Docs" then you claim that other people are "pathetically biased". Does that sentence strike anyone else as a mite on the hypocritical side?

You could say the Doc you know has never acted like that to your knowledge and that would be fine.

Seriously tell us how you "know" that the truth is completely different. I would actually like to hear this one...

I didn't have to be there, because as I stated doc is not a liar. He is one of the most trustworthy people in the business, I have no skin in the game here either! I have nothing to win or lose. I suggest that anyone who has a problem and wants the truth, why don't you call and ask him, as I said he is a solid truthful guy, will never lie. Unlike people who come on here and convienetly forget to mention very important details that may make themselves look bad.
