For the past couple of weeks my wife has been making plans to have a couple of her girlfriends come visit from Long Island. They were going to arrive on Saturday late afternoon, sleep over, and then all of them going to an early movie and lunch on Sunday.
So Saturday around 4:30 we're sitting in the TV room and I hear the front door open. Assuming that it's her girlfriends I tell her 'They're here'. The next thing I see is one of our daughters and her boyfriend come in carrying balloons. Okay, guess they're going to a party. She tells me that they just stopped by for a few minutes to say 'Hi'. A couple minutes later I hear the side door bell. When I answer it, my riding buddy and his wife are standing there. Then it dawns on me. It's a surprise party for MY birthday. Well, it worked. I was totally surprised as my birthday was still 2 days away (Dec 8).
All this just to show what our other daughter did for my cake. I think it's pretty cool, and it was delicious.
One chocolate layer, one vanilla, one chocolate. (plus I got a gift cert. for the local HD dealer)
Thanks guys! I was impressed that she even got the colors correct because she has absolutely no interest in motorcycles. lol
Our other daughter loves it and is always asking to go for a ride with me.
