As said before, I would be really worried about snow bringing down the temporary enclosure. You need to get rid of the mice anywho. I stored my old sprint like that many years ago and it didnt do it any good, at all.

Not necessary.
There has to be 2 million bikes stored in common garages across the state of Minnesota every winter without any trouble at all. They are replaced with snowmobiles for summer storage, again with no ill affect.
But what Sid1200 has going on isn't a garage, it's a sealed plastic "tent" on patio stone (that's about the same as a dirt floor).

I am not worried about it collapsing. The roof is reinforced under there. Now when I say it is "sealed up" it is hardly air tight. I also have my cover on the bike inside of the enclosure, does that help or hurt?
Either way you guys have me all paranoid now and I will put some vents in tomorrow.
Thanks for all the input.

Toss some moth ***** and "Bounce" drier sheets in there to help keep mice out. Yeah, I agree though, I would pay for some proper winter storage.

Lots of mice this year (Thornhill area...) I have lots of those poison boxes all around the house and in the garage - 4-pack on sale at Lowes.

I'm sure things are different up in Hamilton but here in Nebraska there seems to be a storage facility on every freaking corner.

You can rent an 8X10 storage locker around here for around $50US a month.
I'd rent a storage locker for the winter if I was you.

I keep mine in my house garage, but apparently the op doesn't have one. I bought a quad one time that was always stored under a open car port, never again. Moisture kills electronics and chrome.

I use a bucket of 'DampRid' and put it under the bike. My bike is in an unheated garage and I use an old table cloth to cover it just to keep dust off of it.

Bounce dryer sheets in the exhaust and under the seat keeps critters away.
Story: Several years ago, on the first ride of the season, I started the bike and heard a 'thump' behind me. When I turned around I saw a mouse that had been expelled out of the muffler laying on the floor directly under the cabinet door. I know it was in the muffler because it
had traces of black soot on it. Once I started putting the Bounce dryer sheets I had no more mouse expulsions. I've never had wiring damage from them.
