Too big to be practical. Some Facebook page was having trivia but I couldn't figure this one out. You'd have to be Rainman to get the year and make with that image.
I agree with a 40's 45 flathead. I think it's from a servicar. That means it could be anything from 1948 to 1973. Notice the upper motor mount in the motor/frame pic. Also notice the air cleaner cover on the full bike pic.
Best I can give you....1933 VLD model engine. '32 models were similar but I believe what gives it away as a 33 is the Y-shaped intake manifold that was first introduced in '33. If I am in error I amsure someone whill be quick to point it out.
Went to a reference book I have, "Inside Harley Davidson: An Engineering History of the Motor Company from F-Heads to Knuckleheads 19803-1945", written by Jerry Hatfield and published in 1990.
On page 118 there is a pic that looks exactly like the top of the motor you posted from the right side (yours is a left side photo).
