Default When do you give up riding

At what point do you give up riding? Of course, if your eyesight gets so bad that even glasses won't help you need to stop, but what about other factors?

Anything physical where I can't handle my bike, like getting it upright and holding it there when I'm stopped. And no, I won't get a trike...they look scary.

Define "riding". Around the block or around the nation? Two wheels or three wheels?
I'll quit when I no longer feel safe to ride. That will be close to my final days on earth.

When I can no longer hold it up at traffic lights....then I move to a trike....when I am to old to ride a trike I guess I will just die because of a old mans mistake on a trike. Cant think of a better way to go.

Whenever I no longer can enjoy it.

Either by physical limitations: I can no longer keep the bike upright because of a past injury, poor eyesight, slowed reaction time, weakness or lack of balance.
Comfort level: Weather, past injury (again), too many crazies (real or perceived).
I'm no longer safe and put myself or others in danger.

When I can no longer handle two wheels, I'll probably go to three and most likely it will be a sidecar.

I would say when you are a danger to yourself and the riders around you for whatever reason. In the case of my ol lady it was a couple of strokes and a heart attack that left her with enough brain impairment to still be able to ride somewhat but not without the chance of running off the road or hitting something. Her 1200 sportster has been stored away forevermore. She had been riding for 30 years so it was a hard thing to do.

Been riding since the sixties. Never thought about giving it up. I guess if I was a danger to myself or others that would be a factor. That's not the case anytime soon.
